Danielle Kelly, an elite black belt competitor under Karel Pravec, is set to make her ONE Championship debut…. A significant step for this phenomenal athlete. Kelly will take on Mei Yamaguchi in a grappling match at ONE X on Saturday, March 26… be sure to tune in as it is sure to be a match not to miss!

Danielle Kelly’s opponent Yamaguchi, a professional MMA fighter since 2007, is an extremely experienced female MMA fighter. We have seen Yamaguchi compete in over 35 fights thus far in her career. She has 21 career wins and nine by way of submission. However, she has struggled lately to get the W, going winless in her last three professional fights.

Kelly is a seasoned competitor and represents the highest levels of jiu-jitsu and submission grappling…. One heck of a matchup, to say the least. 

Competing against elite MMA fighters seems to be the norm for Kelly. If you have any doubts, check out these accomplishments: Tapped Cynthia Calvillo, the current UFC flyweight at Quintet Ultra, Submitted UFC veteran Roxanne Modafferi at Submission Hunter Pro in 2020, and even won against former UFC strawweight champion Carla Esparza…. The fight ended due to doctor stoppage when Esparza attempted to slam her way out of Kelly’s guard. She is also a multiple-time Who’s Number One veteran with two submission wins over Jessica Crane to date.
