Bridger Walker, the boy who went viral all over Instagram for saving his sister from a Vicious dog attack nearly 2-years ago, just visited Gracie University HQ and had a bit of fun training with Rener Gracie.

In a recent post from Rener’s Instagram account, Walker can be seen at the Gracie University HQ playfully taking Rener’s back with a seatbelt grip, and both hooks loosely in while Rener playfully tries to shake him off his back. So awesome to see little Walker having so much fun after such a difficult moment where he received numerous stitches on his face from bravely defending his sister.

We also see Walker smoothly transition from a mount position to a rear naked choke (RNC), where he showcased a few triangles and armbars, while his other siblings got a bit of BJJ instruction as well.

Check out the video here:

After the training Bridger’s dad, Robert Walker, showed his gratitude with an Instagram post as well, where he thanked Rener and the whole team at Gracie University HQ for giving his son and other children positive role models and introducing him into a sport that will teach him how to defend himself for the rest of his life. He also encouraged other parents to enroll their kids in Jiu-Jitsu, expressing the value it can provide both on and off the mats with the following statement:

“I once read, ‘Children are great imitators. So give them something great to imitate.’ That can be very hard sometimes.

So as a father, I always do a little celebration inside when I see my kids connect with someone who has that strength of character – the type of person who helps them see their potential and builds their confidence. Those core memories and lessons stick even more when bundled up with laughter. So genuinely, thank you, @renergracie (@gracieuniversityhq), for taking time out of your busy schedule. This is a day that will never be forgotten.

Also, as a side note, if you are looking for an activity for your kids, that will build muscle, confidence, emotional resiliency, courage, and balance (among so many other things), please consider signing them up for Jiu-Jitsu.”

Bridger continues to show positivity, courage, and natural leadership beyond his years through his training and the way he holds himself; we look forward to seeing what the future holds for him…. Maybe an ADCC world champion one day.
